Down to Earth monitors and campaigns on environmental issues impact on human and social life in Indonesia. We also support civil society groups and the international mouthpiece for them at the level of government, foreign companies, aid agencies and international funding agency.
Our main focus is the rural poor and indigenous communities outside Java, especially their rights in determining their own future. DTE is a project based in the UK.

New satellite will provide photographs of the surface of the Earth with high resolution for display on Google Earth. Digital Globe is partnering with Google will launch a satellite named Worldview I was.

Together with the previous satellite, Quick bird, both will provide half resolution and collect photos covering 600 thousand square kilometers every day. Collection as much as it previously could only be collected for more than a week.

In addition, objects on the surface of the Earth will be highlighted until the magnification up to a height of three meters to 7.5 meters. Even with the reference point in magnifying the surface of the Earth can be enhanced up to two meters.

"Worldview I would encourage the collection of a collection of photographs and accelerate our company's increasing number of archives, which until now is the most commercial archive of satellite imagery in the world," said Chief Executive Digiyal Globe, Jill Smith. Worldview first satellite launch is the first stage of a series of other satellite launches to strengthen the ability of sensing the surface of the Earth.
